Comments From A Hero

     I just wanted to comment to you on how beautiful the card that Jo sent me is. I am a retired and 70% disabled army veteran who like many others felt the tragedy and horror of 9-11-01. I also felt at first that we should nuke them till they glowed in the dark. But, I am also a Christian and know that two wrongs don't make a right. Still, my patriotism is a part of me as is breathing. I love the message in the e-card that was sent to me, and have attempted to send it on to my dozen or so e-mail family. I pray that we never forget what 9-11-01 did to bring this huge nation of our together and to their knees in prayer. I hope that the memory of that day stays with American forever. United we stand, divided we fall. We may be made up of different religions, different nationalities, different ethnic origins, but the one thing that unites us all is that first and foremost, we are Americans and as Americans, we believe in peace, freedom from oppression, and justice for all. I am proud of my country, and even though she is not perfect, she is the best that there is. Long may she stand as a beacon of light to all who would see that we are not a threat to any other nation, unless they try to take from us what so many young men and women have given their lives to preserve, protect, and to honor.
